I have orthotics to aid with a foot that always rolls to the outside and the other foot with the results of a bunion. Altra wides followed by Merelle wides are my go-to when out walking.
My Husband Has Parkinsons Where Can We Go To Get A P.D. Gene Study In Chicago Illinois?
My husband was diagnosed with PD in 2017 and recently we were told that he has dementia Lewy Bodies - we need to get him into a gene study for the sake of our children and grandchildren
Our primary Neurological team is at Unniversity of Chicago and they do not offer gene study testing.

...and it seems harder to get a straight answer than you'd think.
I've had Parkinson's since 2015. Got on the L-Dopa early, so probably coming up on 8-9 years.
I can't say I really "suffered" with it until the last three years or so, but all the research I CAN find says that L-Dopa failure is somewhere in the 5-10 year range...so I'm pretty much spot on.

Carbidopa-levodopa. It's the most common medication given to people with Parkinson's.
Has Anyone Also Had Hyperparathyroidism? It Is A Dysfunction Of Calcium Metabolism; Ie. That Is Hyperparathyroidism, Not Hyperthyroidism.
The hyper "parathroidism " is not the same as hyperthyroidism . The 4 parathyroid tiny glands control calcium metabolism. ?
I have to take Thyroid medicine. The same as listed above. I don't have to take the calcium yet though.
