Everyone has a preference. You have ot put out some dollars. Go to a running store and look at the ones recommended for walking. Try on a few pairs that look good to you. Hokas help to propel you forward. That can be helpful if you feel stuck a great deal of the time. Otherwise - you really need to try a shoe on and walk around in it for a bit to see what you like. Be sure to go to the shoe store late in the afternoon or early evening. Your feet see ll as the day goes by. Therefore you want to go later in the day to allow for this factor. Good luck.

I have orthotics to aid with a foot that always rolls to the outside and the other foot with the results of a bunion. Altra wides followed by Merelle wides are my go-to when out walking.
