Going Off Levodopa/carbodopa Intentionally
Has anyone purposely missed a dose of carbadopa/levadopa? If so what happened?
I have missed doses never on purpose especially after the first time I missed by accident
In the early stages you could probably get away with it but over time missing a dose and in an hour my… read more

Does Using Ropinerole/Rasagiline Have As Bad Side Effects As Carbodopa/Levadopa?
There seems to be neurological disagreement about this, and presumably the disagreement is addressed in the American Neurological Society's Guidelines for treatment, but you have to be a member to see them.
I’d appreciate any help or opinions on this.
Thank you!

I Am Just About To Start Carbidopa Levidopa.
My pharmacy just gave me the generic version. Should I be concerned, or should I speak to my neurologist? Not sure if I should wait for a brand name of the drug before starting it. I am weaning off the Neupro patch because I had some foot swelling. Please advise!! Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Peace and love❤️🌈
I'm off of it now. Hope you get it straightened out. I was able to stop taking it.
If Carbadopa Is Taken Without Levadopa, According To Google, Carbadopa Is Not Affective. “ Carbidopa Is Only Used In Combination With Levo.
So what replaces Levadopa if only carbadopa is prescribed?
From what I understand carbidopa by itself is not effective for Parkinson's. It's job is to help levodopa across the blood brain barrier to become Dopamine.
I'm Sure I've Mentioned This Before, But Does Anyone Else Have "down" Times Between Doses Of C/L Or Stalevo?
I take Stalevo at 5:00 am, 10:00 am, 3:00 pm and then 8:00 pm. Almost without fail, I have withdrawal symptoms feeling weak, lightheaded, and nauseous. Don't dare drive during this, can hardly talk or eat. Sometimes I just lie down for a half hour until it's time for the pill. Unfortunately this triggers my anxiety issues. I try deep breathing, takeing a nap, anything to trick my brain. Does anyone have a similar problem and what are you doing to remedy. My doctor said maybe more C/L devises?
What Medicine R U On?
