Help For Terrible Restless Legs
After years my mirapex has stopped working. My neurologist has tried other combinations and nothing seems to work. Currently I am on ropinirole and Gabapentin. Is anyone else dealing with this and what solutions work for you, if any? Is anyone using some of the new supplement combinations they offer online
I can't get an actual appointment with my neurologist for months. She has told me online that she wants to refer me to a sleep specialist, which, of course, takes months, too. If Ii didn't… read more
My husband has a red light helmet that he uses twice a day for red light therapy and this helps with his sleep..
I posted the other day. I do not have RLS, muscle/calf/foot spasms anymore. Pramipexole, 0.5 mg , 3 x daily. Completely cured me.
I do feel for you! Both the Gabapentin Carbidopa/levodopa seem to elevate restless legs for me. In addition to the rest, ess legs my arms and body also wants to jerk. Super weird and irritating! I hope you find something that works soon. I will say I do not understand why so many people get referred to a sleep study program when your Neurologist or PCP can address this for you. Best of luck ❤️
I know the feeling all too well. I've been on Horizant (Gabapentin) for several months and it has cut down on the RLS. However, my doctor switched my Carbidopa/Levidopa meds to something called Stalevo. This has a few negative side effects one of which is the return of RLS with a vengeance. I'm still on a trial basis but I suspect he will take me off of Stalevo soon. One can only hope. It is currently 5:30 am and I've been up with RLS since 2:30. If I weren't afraid of heights, I'd climb up on the roof and jump. Thanks God there's a place to vent. Love you all God bless.
