Yes I also was put on medication for heartburn omeprazole (Prilosec) 40 mg a day and it alleviated my heartburn completely. But I am always concerned about medications that you need another medication to take it.

It gave me heartburn so bad that I couldn't eat. I had just started it, Doc told me to stop it.

I take Pepcid, Prilosec and a 3rd one. So they don't help everybody, but certainly are worth a try.

Follow up question, I have been taking Sinemet since July of 23. I got covid in January and January and February i have had some skin cancer procedures done. I have had really bad heartburn with or without food. Just turning over is enough to get it going. I have lost 25 pounds since January.

the meds tajen for Parkinson’s take your stomach some time to get use to. When I started them in 2008 I would throw up every time I took them. 18 lost pounds and a month later my body finally gave in and accepted them. Its a difficult adjustment but a journey you must get through! The meds do help and the dose will be slowly increased over time.
