Has Anyone Experienced Depression After Receiving Diagnosis Of PD?
Hell Yeah.
Thanks for the information. I hope you and your husband continue to have many “up” days.
I’ve read that a large majority of us go into a depressive state when we’re first diagnosed. My own “poor little me” attitude lasted about 8 months, until it finally dawned on me, as bad as it may get on certain days, I can still get around, even if at times I may need to rely on others to help. I found I have more good people in my life than I ever thought I did, and by researching, exercising (that was the hardest part for me) and changing my eating habits, I’m more mobile than I was after my initial diagnosis. PD stinks, to say the least. There’s no getting around that, and we obviously have to make some adjustments in the way we do things. But I also found this site with people who understand, and have lots of solid information to share. I think you’ll find that helps quite a bit as well.
Go to Michael J. Fox website. Read their articles. Depression will be there.
