Has Anyone Used A Theracycle Or Any Bike Comparable But Less Expensive
like a motorized peddling machine or a cheaper form od THERACYLE out on the market designed for pwp? i know about lsvt big program helps. good ol PT, but also would it help with fatigue easily, anti depression, etc. open to suggestions, (deconditioned)
thank you jean from buffalo ny
I have the less expensive model Theracycle that uses a regular chair. I've had mine about 2 years and it seems to help. Normally I read while pumping away and the time just flies. BUT if I'm tired I can relax and let the machine do most of the work. It has a very good display (time, miles, average distance), It does not accumulate totals. A plus if you like working from home.
Anti-depression I don't know. It just makes me feel good and it helps me physically.
I found the LSVT Big program too demanding.
ok thanks barb you use the theracycle infront of your wheelchair and it helps with pd symptoms. do you ride it long duration and fast speeds? thanks agaain
They have 2 models, one with a seat and one without. I got the one without (their recommendation). My wheelchair fits just fine. Works very well and I'm pleased with it. Can't remember what we paid, but I think it was about $2500.00. Kind of expensive but I think it was worth it. I've had it 3 years I think.
How much was the least expensive Theracycle? I've heard good things about the Theracycle.
