I Am Looking At Getting My Husband A Theracycle Or Exerpeutic Cycle. Does Anyone Have Advice On This?
If you have balance issues make sure you get one with a back to start out with. I work at a gym part time. This is what I advise people to with balance problems. We have NUstep bikes. Good luck!
I was thinking of buying a theracycle but I already had a stationery bike, so I bought in amazon for less than a hundred dollars, a mini theracyle like electric pedaler.
I recently purchased an Exerpeutic Recumbent cycle. My balance is not very good so I like it better than others that I tried out because it has arms that help keep me balanced. I started looking for a recumbent cycle after seeing the video on Facebook showing Parkinson's Patients riding bicycles.
If you are able to do it cycling is one of the best activities for people with PD. Helps with balance and keeps those legs moving.
I have used it daily, sometimes 2x a day. It has a self timer for 15 minutes at a time. I admit the first order lasted only 3 weeks. but Amazon is good at returns for a goiod reason and they shipped a new replacement the next day.. It is now over 3 months and the electric pedaler is still working.
