Agreed. I slept well at outset, but now awake 24 hours. Exhausted but will make myself get up to be awake at a reasonable morning hour.

I take Mitrazine for sleep but have learned a little trick that works for me. Since I was already on Clonozepam at bedtime I always fall asleep quickly. The trick was waking up a few hours later. Now I don’t take the mitrazine at bedtime but wait until I wake up. I take it later and fall asleep for the rest of the night. Problem solved. Sleep problems were relatively new to me and it took some experimenting to find a solution. I am convinced I also have fairies that sprinkle sleeping dust on me at night and no I don’t have hallucinations or delusions just a
vivid imagination. The fairy dust started as a story for my grandchildren and I like the way it makes me feel.😄

Hi Tina, I've had REM for years. The stories I could tell. We all laugh about them now.
The longest I have stayed awake was 48 hours. In years past, I only slept 4-5 hours a night.(raising kids). Now I sleep 6-7. I don't nap. I stay on my feet as much as possible. I just do little things or work on projects. I take a Melatonin, muscle relaxer and pain killer at bedtime. Those help.
