Of course this is a doctor thing but as far as dealing with it is something that doctors are a bit lacking ๐Ÿ˜‘
I started with HBP at 40ish got one Rx and I was good for years. We moved from Hawaii to South Carolina (yes on purpose) and my BP started going all wacky doodle and so I got an additional Rx. Interestingly enough 2016-17 is when we think the Parkinson's started. Then that was no longer working. Now the BP was reaching new highs and I was forced to go to the hospital. I say forced because I was. I went to my neurologist ( I was seeing for my adult onset Epilepsy) I the day before and the dr said my BP was high...very high and I of course said no biggie I already had an appointment with him and left. I went to that appointment. He told her to call my husband and that i was not to leave the room until he showed up. ๐Ÿ˜ณ I said I would go straight to the hospital, I can see it from here! He said he knows that and that's why he called my husband ๐Ÿ˜ Apparently my reputation preceded me and he knew I wouldn't go ๐Ÿ˜Œ he wasn't wrong ๐Ÿ˜ they admitted me๐Ÿ˜ฃ
It wasn't long after that my diagnosis was finally made.
Once I started the Carbadopa Levodopa it started to come down. I now for the first time in two decades my BP is in the low normal range โ˜บ

For me it was a life saver because my blood pressure was so high due to my central pain Parkinson's. It affects autonomic systems., so my body temp, blood pressure and gastro system is wacky doodle. I was hospitalized for my blood pressure, it was REALLY high ๐Ÿ˜ณ
It was a only a few months later I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. I went from 3 different medications to 2 and of course the Carbadopa Levodopa and it became low enough that my bp is low normal ๐Ÿ‘
It may be the few ....ok, only good thing about Parkinson's โ˜บ
Hang in there, we are all here for each other, whether you are living with Parkinson's or living Parkinson's. I have a very supportive husband and family and it is still difficult. I was diagnosed last July. I already dealing with Adult Onset Epilepsy. Now Parkinson's so no, I was not exactly gracious ๐Ÿ˜‘
Then my son said something so wise, he said "Mom, it's not personal. ". I don't know why but that was the kick in the butt I needed! I Gave up the woe is me and put me back in the fight! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
