I Was Diagnosed With PD In April 2021 And Take Sinemet For Tremors Which Really Helps

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭
Southern California

My biggest problem is mobility- I’m slow, unsteady , poor balance, limp- use a cane regularly - also have arthritis and am scheduled for a right total hip replacement the end of June - I’m afraid my mobility won’t be helped - the pain will be gone but will still have the mobility problems - has anyone here had this surgery and how did their recovery go - I will be doing my PT the best I can

I have two friends with one replacement and the other with both. They are glad they did the surgery and were dedicated to their PT. I can tell you that they both are so much more aware of having to be careful and focus more on safe mobility. Maybe the surgery will help your mind as well as your body
