How Well Does Carbidopa/ Levodopa Work For Everyone?
I just started taking it 6 weeks ago. My doctor recommends taking it 1-1/2 hours before eating. I have noticed tremors in my leg which I didn't have before.
They lowered my dose but increased it to 4 x a day vs 3 x a day and it’s been much better the higher dose 3x was making my tremors and shaking worse all is ok now
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member it works extremely well while it is in my system. Head tremor and right arm tremors stop, stiffness decreases drastically and I can speak clearly and walk more balanced and stable. I don’t need my wheel chair when going out. I have noticed the more active I am becoming the quicker the medicine wears off. I am working I’d the dosage and timing.
After several months of trying to get the right dose and nausea all the time, it's been working pretty good. This has been 3 years and now it still works but the dosage has significantly increased. I'm seeing my Parkinson's Dr in a couple of weeks. I don't think there's a 1 size fits all, med for this. This is all purely my opinion.
