Then you need to tell your doctor this. It took changing the amount and the times per day that I took Sinemet. And this just takes time to get it right! Don't
give up and don't worry you are bothering your doctor. If he or she is bothered,
find a new doctor!

2016 through 2021 I was taking Generic Sinemet aka Carbidopa/Levodopa 25/100. Mayne Pharma got rid of the company making the drugs for them who is currently called Teva Pharmaceuticals, Mayne began manufacturing the drug inhouse around 2021 and when I began taking their generic new Mayne Pharma Generic compared to my previous Mayne Pharma Generic it stopped working leaving me with off periods for more than half of the day. My Neurologist prescribed Rytary which did work with larger doses in the early part of the day to be effective treating my Parkinsons symptoms. Using Rytary for the 3 weeks it gave me severe headaches which forced me back to SInemet Generic. The Teva Pharmaceuticals brand of Generic Sinemet aka Generic Carbidopa/Levodopa 25/100 most important it works without the headaches. If would like more information please feel free to contact me.

We are willing to try different medications with the suggestion and help from our neurologist. Rytary was not a good fit for my husband. The side effects are worse than the small bit of help it offered. Sintment has and always been the best fit for him. We have found Apokyn to be a huge help with gap and off times. The side effects are very minimal.
So for those who are helped by Rytary that is wonderful. PD is different for everyone and so should be the treatment.
