Pain is in both legs now. Before, I was prescribed muscle relaxant. No difference. Good luck to us all. JudyTx🌹

The best relief from sciatica, for me, is stretching. Below is a website with a lot of good info about sciatica and videos demonstrating the exercises. I know the last thing you want to do when your body hurts is exercise but these safe exercises really work, you can do them as many times a day as you like and you won't have the side effects you may experience with medications to treat sciatica.
Hope this helps, Maria

The same situation with me, and I use Voltaren gel which works really great, and also either ibuprofen or Advil

When this round of sciatica began, I was waking up screaming in pain. Clay, Ocho, and Lao were terrified by my strange behavior. Thankfully, I don't wake up screaming, well not usually. Lao still barks at my feet during my restless leg syndrome. 🦵 Too much stress for my little guy. I will post pictures of my fur babies. Life would be hard to get better, I think. My friend, Dorothy always said, it could be worse. I would respond "and it would be, if not for God! " She was not a negative person, but this was her song. She often "encouraged me " by saying thank goodness you don't have cancer, or blind or whatever. I was obliged to agree, while thinking, I am not sure I would have chosen to be a Parkie, hum. I will be going to a pain management doctor in the near future for cortisone shots in my lower back. I hope and pray that they stop the pain.

Have you had an MRI? It would show if you have a bulging or ruptured disk. I have degenerative disk disease, which is hereditary. Anti-inflammatory medicine helps some people. If your disk is just bulging, I would avoid surgery. I've had 4 lumbar surgeries since 1997, and my whole lumbar spine is fused, as is all 7 cervical disks. Ask your doctor about an Anti-inflammatory and an MRI if you haven't had one yet. Best wishes ❤️
