I had DBS just about a year ago. And I'd do it again. The PROs for me: my "off" times are not as long or severe, My tremor and stutter are practically gone, meds are reduced. My CONS: I gained 20 pounds. I chose to go with the Boston Scientific rechargeable device. It's taken about 7 months to get to this point. But as of today, I'm at a point, that I am feeling so good, I'm starting to forget to take my meds. Good luck with your research and I wish you the best in whatever direction you choose to go.

Two of my friends have had it...they were very happy with the results...supposedly I do not have enough tremors to qualify for it.
