Does Anybody Notice A Difference In Carrbidopa Levodopa Made By Different Manufactures ?
Unfortunately many generic drugs are made in India which have a high amount of recalls. The pharmaceutical industry has become highly unethical and the major chains buy the cheapest drug manufacturer available. Ask your pharmacist who makes the medication and where is it made and then google to see if they have recalls
The pharmacist cannot tell you it is the same drug unless they do an assay. The potency can be too little or too much and thus the patient could notice a difference. Also do they use the same manufacture and in what country is the drug made. Big Pharma today is quite unethical and care more about their share holders then their patients.
Two of the best generic companies are Sandoz and Teva Pfizer makes it’s own generics by Greenstone which they own
Have not. But with generics there can be major differences across the board with pharma's. It in the non-active ingredients.
YES!! One of my pharmacies was sending me CDL and CDL that was the same shape and size for BOTH the Continuous Release tabs and the Immediate Release tabs. Really hard to tell the difference between the yellow Immediate Release and the buff colored Continuous Release tabs especially in the dimmer light of the midwest morning or in the evening. Fortunately, when I changed to the mail order pharmacy the color stayed the same, but the 2 meds are different shapes. ( The Immediate Release is round and yellow, and the Continuous Release is buff/pink and oblong / [oval]). THAT HELPS A LOT!!! 🙃
