Have You Noticed A Difference Between Manufactures Of The Carbidopa/levodopa For TEVO And AUROBINDO?

Walgreens gave me the c/L made by TEVO first and my new prescription I just picked up is from the manufacturer AUROBINDO. Have you had any difference in its effect between manufacturers?

There are lots a variation between suppliers. I hate it when I get pills that look completely different. I get confused easily. I don’t need any help.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member inactive ingredients!! Such an important comment. Yes inactive ingredients can be different with each manufacturer and make a big difference. I have MCAS-mast cell activation syndrome and take medicine for that and I react to inactive ingredients frequently in meds. Important comment. Thank you

I went on my very first prescription of c/l in Nov 2023 and was amazed at how wonderful it was to have the tremors controlled for 7 hours per 25/100 pill. Then I got a refill and it was a different manufacturer and went down to 4 hours per pill. I was so discouraged. I thought it was just me but seeing this you are saying it could be the manufacturer? My doctor changed to an ER pill but it doesn’t work for me so I need to try something else again. Medication is hard to get right, but harder still if it varies in what you receive refill to refill.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I know what you mean! I totally agree. I also agree that the pharmacy who fills your prescription should be required to tell you if they change the medicine’s mfg and get your approval first. If you don’t give it they shouldn’t change it, period.
