I Have Been Diagnosed 3 Years Ago With PD. I Am On 2 Tablets
Pd. I am on 6 tablets of sinamet a day. It has been working fine up till recently. I am getting more off time the before. I read that you can only take 8 tablets a day. Has anyone had this same experience and what did your doctor do about it?
Thanks
Larry
i take 1.5 at 12am, 2 at 6am, 2 at noon, 1.5 at 6pm and 2 extra if i have breakthrough problem. Neuro was going to increase if I wanted to up the dose, but I chose to stay with current dose. I have been told by a wife of prior PD patient that his doctor told them there is no limit and people can take as much as tolerated. Now, maybe that was end stage only, but I know my doc was going to have me on more than 6. I do better fixed times spaced evenly but some folks only do daytime doses. I tried both and this works better for me.
Marien thanks for your response it's nice to know we are not alone on our journey.
All the best
Larry
I take a 25/100 cl every 75 minutes the first pill of the day is a50/200 extended release cl
I’m 3 years post diagnosis as well. I take 1.5 tablets 100/25 C/L 4x daily. Off times with freezing coming more quickly. I’m starting PT next week to assist with freezing strategies.
Before making any changes in your dosage ALWAYS ask and work with your Neurologist (Hopefully an MDS certified Neurologist).
