How Is Everybody Doing With Driving And Parkinson's?
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - I felt that way when I decided to quit driving. But maybe I saved somebody else's life by doing it when I did and you are possibly doing the same.
To put it in proportion, how would you feel had you injured or killed someone because pride kept you on the road? You are to be commended for having the guts to quit when you did.
I drive in town but as little as possible. I am fortunate to have a husband and daughter to take me most of the time.
How wise you are! You can still be independent and viable and not drive. Kudos to you for recognizing that driving could lead to a unsafe situation.

I have stopped driving too far because I’m not comfortable doing so. I have a son living in NY and sisters in CT and I live in MA. My son & sister have come to pick me up, but I hate to ask. I still drive around my house, I’m not ready to give that up yet.
I still driving. Each year a medical form needs to be completed by my doctor for my fitness to drive and eye sight.
