Yes @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member Did send me photos and talked about the implant Above her breast. I am going to be getting bi lateral DBS done and will end up with 2 battery packs Of which I would rather not have implanted above my Breast. I saw others on line who had the battery packs and planted in the abdomen and I felt that would be a good place to probably have them placed. My surgeon has done that before and he agreed that for me it was probly a good decision as I still like to dress In sexy attire and would rather not have extra bumps on my chest besides the fact that the skin is so thin in that area for me it just doesn't seem like a good placement. So I was curious if anyone else on this site that had the DBS done also had the battery packs placed in their abdomen and how they felt about that. So for me it's just a matter of preference and as long as my surgeon doesn't see an issue about that and is OK with it then that's what I plan to do.

They put my generator pack in my chest about my left Breast. I can't imagine them running the wires that far. I would question the reason to run it down that far. May I ask where you are having your surgery at?

Musc charleston, sc. My surgeon has been doing these operations for around 20yrs. He has implanted the batteries in the abdomen before. This is a preference i asked for. I will be having 2 battery packs and i prefer not to have them surgically installed in my chest for medical and personal reasons. There are people out their who had the batteries installed into there abdomen I've recently talked to one person on Facebook , i was just hoping someone on here also had it done.
