Does Anyone Have Red Lower Legs With Their PD? If So, Can You Trace It Back To A Reaction To Either Amantadine Or Paraprrxil?
My lower legs turned bright red as I increased doses of these medications. . I am wondering if anyone else has had the same reaction and if they can relate it to one of the two medicines I listed. Thanks.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member Thanks. I will definitely contact you. My own appointment is on the 24th.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member hi I found this article about a new drug that may be on the market replacing Amantadine.I have an appointment with my neurologist on April 20th. I plan to discuss this with him. I'll be home on the 21st. April. If interested in what he had to say feel free to contact me at that time.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member hi yes I have the same problem but my neurologist warned me that this would happen if I took the Amantadine. The veins show through my skin and are red.I'm currently taking 1 red oblong cap 100mg twice a day. The other side effects I'm experiencing with this drug is dry mouth, dry nose and the occasional loss of balance.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member definitely!!
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member great we'll compare notes if that's Ok with you, HUGGS jane
