In Recent Months I've Started Walking In A Therapy Pool Instead Of The Walking Track. Has Anyone Else Done The Same & Benefited From It?

I had a friend with bad knees who did a lot of her marathon training in a pool. It is less stressful on the joints, but provides a good workout.

You're right about the choice & freedom with walking Phil but there's a lot to be said for popping into a heated pool all year round (as against going walking with thousands of flies, which is what I have where I live in Australia ๐Ÿคฃ). I'm going to do both for a while & compare results on my watch.

I'm looking forward to trying to do some "water walking". ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป
It's a safe way to exercise: You can't fall down when you walk in water!๐Ÿ˜‰

I did water aerobics when I was pregnant. The principle is resitance excersize. It included walking in the pool. I found it very beneficial and cannot see why it would not be excellent for PD. If there was a facility for that nearby, I would definitely do it again!!
