Coping as a care partner for someone with Parkinson's can be incredibly challenging, especially when dealing with mood swings and medication non-compliance. Here are some tips from my knowledge base that might help:

1. Carve Out Moments for Yourself: Schedule small breaks for fresh air, a cup of tea, or a hobby. This can be restorative and help you manage stress.

2. Take Care of Your Health: Prioritize your own health by finding time for exercise and ensuring you get adequate sleep.

3. Maintain a Mindfulness Practice: Practices like meditation, gratitude, and reflection can help you manage stress and improve your mood.

4. Get Emotional Support: Join a support group for caregivers, either online or in-person, to share experiences and feelings.

5. Seek Help With Caregiving: Communicate openly with friends and family about what you need and accept their help.

6. Know Your Resources: Utilize financial and social resources available to caregivers.

7. Stay Engaged With Your Loved One: Find activities you both enjoy, such as online workshops or singing along to karaoke videos.

8. Know That Your Work as a Caregiver Is Appreciated: Remember that your efforts are valuable, even if they sometimes go unrecognized.

It's important to communicate with your husband's healthcare provider about his medication adherence and mood swings. If he is resistant to sharing his struggles, consider seeking individual counseling for yourself to help navigate these challenges.
