I Feel Shaky Like I’ve Had Too Much Coffee When I Haven’t.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s two years ago when I was 80. You can’t tell. I feel pressure on my right side and shaky. I also have arthritis and pulmonary fibrosis. I have a full life and still work in a transitional home for women getting out of prison.

Feeling shaky can be a common symptom of Parkinson's disease, even if it's not always visible to others. Here are some points to consider based on my knowledge base:

- Internal Tremor: About 70% of people with Parkinson's experience tremor symptoms, which can sometimes be internal, meaning you feel a shaking sensation inside your body that isn't visible to others.
- Medication Adjustment: It might be helpful to discuss your symptoms with your doctor, as adjusting your Parkinson's medications could potentially alleviate some of the shakiness.
- Fatigue Management: Managing fatigue can also help with overall energy levels and reduce the feeling of shakiness. Tips include:
- Caffeine: Consuming caffeine can provide an energy boost, but avoid it after 3 p.m. to prevent sleep disturbances.
- Avoid Alcohol: Alcohol can negatively affect sleep quality, leaving you more tired the next day.
- Daily Routine: Maintaining a consistent daily routine and taking breaks as needed can help manage energy levels.

Given your other conditions like arthritis and pulmonary fibrosis, it's crucial to coordinate with your healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to your health.
