How Many Have Had A Diagnosis Of Epilepsy, Particularly Myoclonic, Or Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy Before Being Diagnosed With Parkinson Syn.
I never had any of those issues. But I had IBS as a very young kid, Age 5, and had bowl issues all my life. Telling??
Depakote is nasty. I’ve done extremely well on Keppra.
I had epilepsy as a child. It went away at beginning of menses, returned after menopause. No episodes in a long time. I take lamotrigine.
I have never heard epilepsy being a part of or related to Parkinson’s. So I have no information on that. I do have Tourette’s syndrome. I’ve had major and minot tics all of my life. The only medication available to possible reduce the tics is Haldol. It came out decades ago and is rarely him due to the situation of the person taking along with tardive disc after taking for so long. There is no way I will ever take that or recommend that anyone else take it. I realize this doesn’t help in regard to epilepsy, but wanted to share it with you.
I did. In the beginning I had unintentional body movements while sleeping. First my head would twitch waking me up. Later limbs would shoot up. The force of these movements change a lot. At first the doctor said, seizures. Later as more and more symptoms appeared my diagnosis changed. All of these strange and mysterious symptoms just add up to Lewy with Parkinsonism. The greatest gift I received since diagnosis is an education into the powerful mind
