Has Anyone Experienced Seizures And Stroke? And If You Did Was Caused By Parkinson's
Hey Dale, it's great to see you. I hope you're doing as well as can be, and maybe surprised by doing better ?
I believe I did respond to you question, however I don't believe I answered it fully. I have a seizure syndrome which is often genetic though no one knows of anyone with a history of it. It involves 3 types of seizures, one of which must be myoclonic epilepsy; it shows its ugly face during the teen years and is called Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. It is not known to be associated with Parkinsonism as far as I know. I have also had 2 CVAs and a TIA. Whether or not they are associated with Parkinsonism is, I believe still an open question. My understanding is that the complexities of the brain are such that the answer is in the realm of the unknowns; by the same token, I learned at our last Parkinson support group that because of the research being done by Elon Musk's AI technology there are vast gains in understanding the brain now ongoing; one area where AI could actually be of practical use. Regardless of one's feelings about Musk, this is an area which could help a tremendous number of people.
Personally I believe anything which affects one part of the brain can eventually affect another part. I mean, PD can cause cognitive decline, depression, hallucinating, personality changes, and who knows what else. I'm trying to keep in mind that an open mind lets the old ideas fly free and makes room for new and better ideas to be considered.
