- Forms Available: Medical cannabis can be found in various forms such as lozenges, sprays, edibles, topical ointments, and products for smoking or vaporizing.
- Active Compounds: Different strains contain various levels of compounds like THC (anti-inflammatory, appetite stimulant), CBD (pain relief, sedative), CBC (analgesic), and CBG (anti-inflammatory).
- Effectiveness: Some small clinical trials have shown that medical marijuana can improve sleep, mood, and pain in people with Parkinson's.
- Legal and Financial Constraints: It may not be legal in all states and might not be covered by insurance, making it potentially expensive.
- Side Effects: Possible side effects include nausea, dry mouth, red eyes, vomiting, heart or blood pressure issues, depression, anxiety, dizziness, sleepiness, and sexual dysfunction.

Always inform your doctor about using medical marijuana to ensure it doesn't interact with other treatments and to monitor any side effects.
