My Husband Is Having Drastic BP Fluctuations. Sometimes Very Low And Feeling Like He's Going To Pass Out. Can Anything Be Done For This?
One hour or so very low and then very high. When he's low he gets tremors and freezing and falls. When he sees a Dr. and his BP is high, they want to put him on lowering meds, which makes him too low. I've read it's common but I can't find what to do. Thanks all!
My Neurologist and cardiologist took me off one of my blood pressure medications, but kept me on another, simply changing the delivery of it. I was on one pill a day that was extended release of 100 mg. They changed me to one pill twice a day extended release, but 50 mg since I now take it twice a day. If my bp drops too low then I am supposed to drink more as well as relax, elevate my feet and increase my salt intake. I usually eat a single serving bag of chips for some salt and that helps. If my bp goes high, I am supposed to elevate my legs, use compression socks and relax. So far doing these things is helping.
Thank you for the information Les. Sounds like we need to ask his neurologist, maybe it's his medications. ???
My Neurologist said the same except it doesn't work so well for me, I always get to a certain point standing up and spill my water every time.
I have the same issue. My Neurologist said to drink more water. That works pretty well.
Of course he did also adjust the dosage of my Carbidopa/Levadopa
