I learned a trick from a TV show about swallowing difficulties, "lean your head slightly forward then swallow" It works for me everytime.

I read that Cynthia7. I put my chin down and swallow. It works.

Having had a positive swallowing test I was sent to a speech pathologist who worked with me on swallowing and also recommended thickening my fluids and a soft diet. Eventually things improved and I took up singing to keep the muscles in my throat strong. So far so good. Soon I’ll be performing, and by soon I mean I’ll be singing solo; so low you can’t hear me ever!
