I have the same pain and had hip and knee replacement surgery this past year and that contributes to the pain. The PT exercises for my hip help.

After a day of working in the yard and garden I have hard pain in my left leg and hip down to my foot. By the time we go to bed it really hurts, I have found taking a really hot shower helps a lot. Good luck.
