I Have Had Balance/walking Problems For Over 6 Years. Am I At The End Of My Rope...stage 5? Thanks!
Stage 5 is when you are bedridden and need help to go to the bathroom, bathe, eat, etc. Balance issues can be stage 2 or 3, I think. You can still work to improve by doing PT, strength training, tai chi, yoga, boxing, etc.
There is help for you on the internet, if you use a computer. Go to U Tube and ask to see balance exercises. You have to practice every day. Try standing on one foot at a time stand in a corner or have a sturdy chair in front of you to steady yourself.
thanks for writing..........i didn't i was a stage 5 either but if i read the article these folks put out recently i am a 5. i don't think i am a 5 so i will remain a 2 or 3. God bless.......thanks, dave
I don't believe having balance or walking problems means you're anywhere near the end of your rope, or stage five. Have you tried any strength exercises for your legs or balance exercises or done any physical therapy with or without an instructor?
THANKS so much!! God bless..dave
