Not good. In a group setting I more or less do not contribute to the conversation b/c my words get fumbled. I talk quiet I am told.

Yes, many people with Parkinson's disease experience difficulties with speech, especially in social settings. This can be more pronounced when feeling nervous. Here are some tips from the knowledge base to help manage communication issues:

- Schedule Vocal Rests: Rest your voice before speaking to make conversations easier.
- Meet in Quiet Spaces: This helps reduce background noise and makes it easier to be heard.
- Speak in Short Phrases: This can help prevent running out of breath.
- Practice Vocal Exercises: Activities like music therapy or singing can help keep the muscles active.

Remember, patience from listeners can also make a big difference.

I often slur my words or words said that have been changed by speech. Same problem reading ! When I go back and reread the words have changed. From block to black or funny to sunny. Always checking text before I send.
