Using Amantadine For Dyskinesia
Have you had positive results using amantadine for dyskinesia?

I couldn’t tolerate regular strength amantadine, had terrible side effects but about 8 months ago my neurologist started me on low-dose time release amantadibe, called Gocovry, and it’s helped my dyskinesia dramatically without side effects.
Yes, I have used Amantadine for over a year now for dyskinesia. I definitely believe it has helped me. I do have to take it separately from my carbidopa/levidopa meds though - maybe an hour or two after those meds.
Amantadine, sold under brand names like Symmetrel and Gocovri, is often prescribed to treat dyskinesia in people with Parkinson's disease who are also receiving levodopa-based therapy. It works by increasing the amount of dopamine available in the brain.
