Yes, I have been with a cognitive therapist for several years now and meet with her monthly. She helps me stay centered on my present and reactions. I have also worked with physical therapists fairly regularly, but that has been temporarily suspended because of developmental programs due to an injured shoulder and back. I found keeping both the mind and body as active as possible was a very positive element in a steadily developing disease. I'm looking forward to getting back to those programs as soon as possible.
It's important to see a movement specialist. They have a whole different set of tests that they provide It's important for you to know what stage you're in. And what symptoms you're displaying so that can order the proper medicine. I look at PD similar tube that of Chrome's Disease. For many years, people were always diagnosed as having a weak stomach. Or irritable bowel syndrome. It's important to be diagnosed properly. Because the care that you're going to need is all that more important when you start out? I was with my movements assaulter doctor for 7 years before I realized some of the symptoms that I was having were caused by the interaction of the different medicines that I were taking further health reasons. Simple things such as exercise and diet are all that important for you personally to be able to treat yourself against this affliction of PD. If you can find a local gym that teaches rocks. Steady, boxing, you get the benefits balance Fitness Speech Exercise and commercial and commercial with other people in the class. I found that exercise lessened a lot of my symptoms and put me on the road of Better health. 😃 last you won't cure PD. But you definitely can slow it down.

My neurologist is a movement specialist. And my understanding is movement specialists are always neurologist. I go to unreligious movement specialist at UCSD and they have an entire program including exercise, speech, etc.. The best thing you could do is find a university or a private practice, that has a complete program for Parkinson’s.
