Any Helpful When Applying For SSDI?
I’m in the process of applying for SSDI. Just wondering if there’s any helpful hands out there that you guys can share with me that would make the process a little bit easier
I had no problems getting DDI because i was diagnosed with Parkinsons All i needed for proof was a letter from my doctor stating i had parkinson's. The letter will also need to have the date you were diagnoised because you might be eligable for back pay. I got 2 years back pay
They generally deny you’re first claim. It has nothing to do with the merits of your claim.
The vast majority of Parkinson’s claims are ultimately approved. Parkinson’s is a disabling condition.
If denied, don’t give up. Reapply and seek assistance from someone who has gone through it.
It took me 3 years of waiting and appealing rejections before I finally had a hearing. I did get an attorney, experienced in disability claims. She gave me confidence and the hearing went well and got approved. My medical history was important from my doctor. Also, don’t hide feelings during your hearing. I cried. Real tears. Not fake at all. A grown man crying was uncomfortable but it showed my frustration and sadness of not being able to work.
Answer all the questions. If denied reapply. Don't give up. I am applying too. My friend had to apply 2 or 3 times. I am on my second application.
