My Husband Who Has PD Is Having Difficulty Accepting His Decreased Independence.

He is acting in ways that could put him in danger. If I put him in assisted living he will leave. His doctors are not seeing the situation because he is good at smooth talking them.

Sometimes it's hard to convince a person that the DR can't address an issue if they are unaware of it!

I know exactly what you mean have same situation. When we go to the Doctor, he says he's fine ---- he's not.

This is a tough one. Does he have a good friend who might be able to give you some help and help him ?

Sorry I don't have a answer for you. These decisions need to be made with his close family members, would bring in some assistance to give you some relief help, are there other family members who could help with him as care takers. Have you had a private meeting with his medical staff as to your options. Good luck on your journey.
