Yes. Speech therapy and singing really help. Problem is worst late in the day.

Singing helps I hear. But you can only be in a shower so long. LOL There is an app called Loud and Clear. It is voice and speaking exercises for PD and other similar diseases.

Hi Sharon: Yes. Our voices change as a result of PD. My voice is softer, even hoarse. Most people can't hear me when I talk to them. Speech therapy did help me with the slurring but, it's true, you must practice it every day. Part of that is increasing the volume of your voice. It's all very tiresome but necessary. The hoarseness interferes with normal speech too. I hope you have a future where you're able to speak when necessary and enjoy the calmness of being quiet when you want. 🤭🤗

My neurologist told me ony first vist that my voice was changing. I had noticed it and thought it was just "old age." Now I know different. Had speech therapy a few years ago. It helped a little, but you need to practice the therapy lesson on a regular basis.
