Breathing And P/D

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone experience rapid breathing several times a day? I can't put my finger on it it is associated with my C/L or what. So if anyone is expressing this problem let me know and how it is being treated.
Thank you

Yes, very shallow rapid breathing, which makes it difficult to do anything. Test at the chest clinic at our local hospital have diagnosed Bronchoectasis, but I think it has more to do with the amount of Sinemet I am taking. 2 tablets (25/100) 6 times a day plus 2 25/100 Half Sinemet on retiring. Following DBS surgery we tried to reduce this but due to issues with my left leg still tremoring badly had to revert to this amount.
My consultant insists the tremors are in fact dyskenesia but i disagree. So we are at an impasse at the moment. Trying to reduce the Rotigitine patches to reduce the dyskenesia without any success.
I will have to contact her with an update and see where we go next.

My breathing has been shallow and fast fir about 18 months and I find it is at its worst when the tremors are bad. The tremors are in my left leg
and foot and cause a lot of pain, in my head and also my teeth chatter, which is most annoying.
I’m occassionally get tremors in my left arm but these can be brought under control with the DBS controller.
