My neurologist says blood pressure problems often occur with Parkinsons. I am currently working with him for low blood pressure especially when standing.

Am constantly dizzy. It's become my 'new normal'.

My husbands blood pressure is starting to become quite erratic and the doctor just informed us that this is really due to PD and that it is not an underlying medical condition with his blood pressure. It really becomes confusing because his primary care MD starts to want to put him on blood pressure medicine, but I will not let him start taking it until I do a thorough investigation and completely check with the neurologist. He was sent to the ER when the dizziness was so bad that he couldn't function at all one day. At the hospital his pressure was up and down and they even did a scan just to check for a brain bleed. He is getting that dizziness even when he is not getting up and down. Do any of you also check your pulse? His pulse has dropped to a very low number. It is in the 50's. Once again, told this is part of PD. Hope this doesn't confuse anyone. Bonnie

Yes I get this all the time when am gardening as I am bending over picking weeds and when I stand up I feel very light headed. Bean
