To All Who Have Had DBS, Are You Happy With The Battery Choice?

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Some people feel that the double battery is uncomfortable and the thinner rechargeable is better. What do you feel? Also has anyone had their stimulator put in your stomach area, not your chest? I am too thin for the chest area so my doctor suggested stomach area. Bean

I never had a choice of batteries--the rechargeable one was the only thing available.. I do like it, try to remember to recharge once a week, or else it takes so long. It'll go almost a month, but then it's hours of recharging, and you have to sit still or it beeps at you because the recharger and the battery get unaligned. Bean, I am starting to have more trouble with fatigue, too. If I lie down for a half hour or more in the afternoon, it helps a lot.
