Does Anyone Else Use Melatonin As Their First Medication After Addressing Sleep Hygiene Issues For Insomnia
I use mellatonin with great results.
I have been taking 3mg on most nights and it generally works. Occasionally I feel like I don't need it and most of the time I'm right. If not, I end up taking Benedryl or rarely, ativan, in the middle of the night after tossing and turning.
What really bothers me is waking in the early morning hours and not be able to go back to sleep.
I use the liquid and put two droppers under tongue twice daily. I use high potency, I think 28 mg. of course you can go higher or much less. I was skeptical, but doctor kept recommending said it would help with insomnia, anxiety and Parkinson's. It took 3 weeks and first I started sleeping through the night and another week the anxiety lessened and now I have been experiencing very good days with Parkinsons when balance is best it has been in 6 months and my activity level really increased. Family and friends noticed and commented and also started on the oil.

I tried melatonin for awhile, but it doesn't help any more. Sleep hygiene has helped.
melatonin is a natural remedy and should not leave any feeling of drowsiness in the morning. I am glad you found it and are having good results
