Lower Back Pain
Has anyone with PD experienced lower back pain and stiffness, especially when you get out of the bed in the morning?
Try this for lower back pain relief. I found this out from my PT if you use one of those large exercise balls, place the ball in your lap while sitting in the chair, place your stretched out arms on top of the ball, press down on the ball with your arms, hold for five seconds, while tensing up your back mussels, and repeat 20 times. You will fill immediate relief in your lower back mussels. Repeat whenever you need relief from your back pain.
My husband has been complaining of this for a while. He works from home sits for many hours in front of a computer. I encourage him to have a break & take a walk, do some exercises. Better than painkillers in my view. But unfortunately I have a husband that doesn't listen. âšī¸
I likewise have the pain in the morning despite an excellent mattress. I have also been diagnosed with Fibromilagia and multiple back issues (catching up from youth) id'd by my orthopedic surgeon. Exercise helps much as well as pain pills.
@ John Sepac - for what ever reason I GET stiffness when getting up in the mornings - stretching like a dog helps while in bed and before going downstaires
I do stretch exercises and walking to alleviate my back stiffness in the morning. Usually this works pretty good. Has anyone found out if this stiffness is caused by the PD?
