Has Anyone Had Plantars Fasciitis? How Was It Treated?

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭
Holden, MA

I was diagnosed with plantars fasciitis in April of last year. I've seen 2 podiatrists but nothing seems to help.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - yes, I certainly have! I was sent from GP to physio to neuro nurse and podiatrist. I had to be very careful with my foot. Tried to extend the foot carefully with a foot roller. Often needed to take the weight off of it for a while. I listened to my body and learned what not to do to excaberate the pain...it passed away quicker than I'd thought with care.

i now have orthotics to wear (separate problem) and it has greatly helped me maintain my mobility and keep down the pain, but I can no longer wear heels.

Yes I had them years ago. The Doctor gave me a steroid shot in my heel and ordered orthotics for for that foot and the pain went away.

Diagnosed with it years ago. Wore Dansko shoes for years; took care of it.
