Do You Think That People Who Have Pd Should Wear A Medical Bracelet
I carry a card in my wallet, issued by the Parkinsons society of Quebec. It says "I am not drunk, nor am I unfriendly.I have Parkinson's disease"
I have not had to use it yet,but I am glad to have it
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. Hello Lois. many of us do wear The Parkinson's bracelet. it is still a matter of choice but if it becomes mandatory there won't be a choice. For myself, I have worn some cheap metal bracelets that don't last very long. They get beat up and discolored. These bracelets come from the Parkinson's foundation and are not good quality bracelets. I was thinking maybe I would invest in a stainless steel one that I can get engraved. In the meantime, I have plenty of other identification that lets people know that I have Parkinson's. Thanks for your question. Best wishes. Sterling
When I first wrote to the National Assoc they sent me a bracelet that said " I am not intoxicated I have parkinsons". I am a recovering alcoholic and my immediate thought was. " I could rent this out to a lot of people on the weekend!" I've been sober 37 years but still know how to make a buck. LOL
Glenn won't wear the bracelet, but he carries the card that says the same thing.
I think so especially if they have a DBS in them
