Pain In The Genital Area? -

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question đź’
Barrie, ON

my partner has been complaining about pain down in the genital area and after being examined by both his Doctor and chiropractor for any abnormalities (and there wasn't any) that it could possibly be from straining - straining to get out of bed, rolling over, getting up from the toilet and/or chair. Anyone else having this problem?

My best investment was buying my husband a lift chair. He sleeps in it every night. He just can't sleep in bed. Then it also helps get out of it.

my partners doctor thinks his from straining to get out of bed and out of chairs....since we have the chair lift that eliminates any chair getting in and out. My partner now sleeps on his back and finds he can easily get out of bed without pulling and straining on the bed rail....so hopefully this will help him.

My husband has complained for a couple of years with groin pain and scrotum pain. Has been checked but no abnormalities so I thought it might be nerve pain from back injury.

We think my husband has a hernia from straining to get in and out of bed. He won't go see a doctor for it. He does have a trapeze above his hospital bed to help. I also help position him as well as I can with my own limitations. My husband does not qualify for a Hoyer Lift yet.
