Is Dizziness When Laying Down A Symptom/side Affect Of PD Or PD Medicine?
Recently whenever I lay down, things in the room appear to be spinning around. It helps some if I close my eyes. This spinning sensation only lasts about 5-6 seconds. I was wondering if this is anything connected with my PD or my PD medicine. My blood pressure is low from heart Rx that I take, but this dizziness and spinning only started a few weeks ago.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - Have you checked the "Fact Sheets" of the meds you are taking? To see which, if not all of them, are decreasing your blood pressure? Also, as long as you're keeping a journal, can you go back to see what changes you made to your diet, beverage intake, or anything else that could cause lightheaded and/ or dizziness?
Hello Jenni. I think one thing can be surmised here. The dizziness has something to do with his medications.Do any of his medications interfere with his inner ear and balance? Ask his doctor and see if your husband could have inner ear problems that his drug regimen may be aggravating. Sterling
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member~~ Yes , he felt it was the Sinemet when it was on its downward curve of wearing off. So, we had to work on a schedule where I didnt come all the way down.
My neurologist told me that levodopa will serve to lower blood pressure. I am now taking 1/4 the amount of the b.p. med, and my b.p. Is remaining in a safe range. You might want to ask your neurologist about this. Good luck!
