Had PD For 6 Yrs.last 2 Years I Haven't Been Able To Sit Long Enough To Watch TV & Have No Desire To Watch Tv. Anyone Else Experience This?
I enjoy audio books also. Reading always makes me sleepy so I prefer to listen.
Hello Ward. I know where you're coming from but I don't really understand it either. I know since my diagnosis with PD and then its subsequent journey and battles, I have changed my values and priorities. I also think that subliminally I feel I must now truly account for myself...No more excuses or false promises to myself. My future is upon me...today! And unless I am learning something useful for my betterment or something that I can share with others, TV is not for me now.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, Ward. Godspeed. Sterling
I watch no tv at all
I also spend a lot of time ‘doing’. The alternative is resting tremors and pain. So I play games on my I Pad, or read, which I can do standing or walking around. TV no longer holds any interest for me so hubby can watch whatever he wants. I used to do a lot of jigsaw puzzles but now spend most of my time picking the pieces up off the floor so there goes another pastime. In the summer I spend a lot of time in the garden. Nothing heavy but it helps to keeps me active.
Wishing everyone a good New Year and hope we can all find something to take our minds off PD for a while.
I know I am the same and it upsets everyone because they think I should just sit with them. But I just don't seem to beable to. I used to sit and watch evening shows but now I found I can't just sit there.
Anyone Else's Mood Affected By TV They Watch?
