Isn't Crexont The Same As Rytary?
Most of us take carbodopa/Levodopa. And Rytary is on the market as an extended release. Is Crexont different?
Given that it was just released in September, there probably aren't a lot of people with experience taking it. Does insurance even cover it?

Yes, one person has indicated they have taken Crexont (Carbidopa and Levodopa) for Parkinson's disease.
What Is So New About Crexont?
Crexont was approved by the FDA in the US recently (August 9th 2024). As far as I can tell it's just a controlled release L-Dopa product. It's been shown to offer an extra 30 to 90 minutes per day of "on time" compared to immediate release L-Dopa.
But there are other CR formulations; Caramet, Half Sinemet CR...I am sure many others since the rights to Sinemet expired.
Why the excitement over Crexont?
I'm Taking Sinemet 4 Times Daily. It Seems To Result In Cyclical Effectiveness. Is There A Continuous Release Version For 24 Hr Relief ?
