Off Times And What Types Of Medication Others Are Using ?? Neupro Was $400.00 Per Month For Copay NEED Suggestions, Not Doctors.
Never heard of Novira. I'm in the UK so most stuff is free. Trouble is the only med that works for me is the L-dopa. I've tried all the off time meds (Ropinirole, opicapone, entacapone, etc etc) with little to no effect.
However a recent prescription for Clonazapam has really helped with my rigidity, and in turn with my sleep, mood and anxiety.
I started at 0.25mg per day, but only really noticed it working at 0.5mg.
I take a medicine that costs $5000/month. Insurance was going to pay for over half of it.
With internet research, I found the pharmaceutical company who manufactures it. I contacted them and they said they have a grant program that I could apply and see if I qualified. I wrote/ filled in all of their questions and submitted copies of the supporting documentation. Two weeks later, I was approved and started receiving three months of medication, concurrently with the year. Now, annually in January, I send my supporting documentation.
It’s such a blessing! Hope this information may help you with your medication.
My husband has started a 2 week free trial of the Neupro patch which is supposed to help with off periods since it is a 24 hour slow release. I have no idea what it will cost if he does continue with the drug.
Have a good day.
