I’m a physician assistant. I agree with what has been said. There is no definitive test for PD. Besides your doctors evaluation a DaT Scan can help. The thing about DaT Scan it does not differentiate between PD and other Parkinsonian diseases like Parkinsonism, vascular Parkinson’s etc.
There also is another test that involves a skin biopsy. It looks for the presence of synucleinopathy which would suggest (Parkinson's, Lewy body dementia, multiple system atrophy).
